Chichen Itza
Chichen Itza derives from the Mayan words: "Chi": mouth, "Che'en" : Well, "Itz" : Mage or Warlock and "a" : water, by combining the words you get "the mouth the well of the water mages".
One of the major archaeological sites in the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico, located in the town of Tinum.
Vestige important and famous of the Mayan civilization, the main buildings that remain here are for the period of the decline of the Mayan culture known to archaeologists as the post-classic period. The massive architecture that has survived until today and today is emblematic of the site has a clear Toltec influence. The god who presides over the site, according to Mayan mythology, is Kukulcan, Maya representing Quetzalcoatl, god made the pantheon of the Toltec culture.
